The AFZ’s CEO said: AFZ’s Economic Policy Council will be formed with participation of economic activists, businessmen, traders and investors from Abadan and Khorramshahr, and by holding regular, coherent meetings and assessing the problems.
According to AFZ’s public relations and international affairs report, a joint meeting held between AFZ’s CEO, Deputies and Managers with officials and members of Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture of Abadan.
In this meeting, AFZ’s Chairman of board of directors and CEO condemned the crimes of Zionist regime and the real holocaust in Gaza and expressed his condolences for the martyrdom of a large number of Palestinian people and stated: holding the first joint meeting between AFZ and Abadan Chamber of Commerce is worthy of reflection. Also, history of Abadan and Khorramshahr in the field of tourism, trade and industry with the conditions that we are seeing now, is in no way worthy of the people of Abadan & Khorramshahr.
The AFZ’s CEO stated: The amount of problems, disturbances and shortcomings are many and our resources are limited. Definitely, all existing problems will not be solved at once. One of the topics that will be effective in advancing goals of the region is the inter-departmental cooperation of Deputy for Investment and Business Development with Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture.
The AFZ’s CEO continued: This council should be formed with the participation of economic activists, traders, merchants and investors by holding regular, coherent meetings and issues that can bring people a faster recovery should be prioritized.
The AFZ’s CEO stated: Recently, the issue of unveiling the new AFZ citizenship card has been raised, and we expect the Chamber of Commerce to use this capacity to provide a series of services for citizens. First, we intend to define the necessary services on such cards and then start distributing them. Accordingly, one of these services is the issue of importing three basic goods for citizens so that they can provide their needs in this way.
Zarei said: One of the solutions for developing Arvand’s customs is to change its use to “specialized customs” through meetings with Ministry of Economy and Customs of Iran, and regional customs, which can have exclusive and special activities in some areas. The issue of mobile phone registry at Shalamcheh border was also raised in the meeting and it was decided to re-launch this issue. And for passenger goods, Arvand’s good capacities have been seen in the field of tourism.
The AFZ’s CEO stated: We are trying to hold the Arvand Expo in AFZ and benefit from the its capacity in long term. Also, the departure of the customs from the ports and establishing it in entry points is one of AFZ’s general policies, which is being pursued especially at the level of the government and parliament, so that Arvand becomes a commercial port.
The AFZ’s CEO reminded: the industrial site has a problem in terms of infrastructure, but our colleagues in field of construction have defined good projects and are in progress. Currently, if the investment is submitted with a complete plan, the land will be handed over to them in the shortest possible time. The proposed investment packages and unnamed licenses of AFZ were also a good initiative that could be effective in speeding up the work.
