Iran’s Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance has appointed Hossein Forouzan as Secretary of the Supreme Council of Free Trade-Industrial and Special Economic Zones.
The appointment emphasizes strengthening coordination with the Ministry of Economy, advancing the reform and development of free zones, improving governance, enhancing domestic and foreign investment attraction, and establishing effective performance monitoring to boost the contribution of free zones to Iran’s national economy.
Forouzan previously served as CEO of the Maku Free Zone Organization and has held several senior positions in the fields of investment, industry, and economic development.
