The launch of Foreign Ministry’s representative office is an important step for development of economic diplomacy in Arvand

The AFZ’s CEO said: The meeting of launching Foreign Ministry’s representative office in AFZ was held with aim of reviewing and facilitating international trends and investment.
According to AFZ’s Public Relations and International Affairs Report, Ali Zarei said: An important meeting was held at the consular office of Ministry of Foreign Affairs with the presence of Dr. Vahid Jalalzadeh, Deputy Consular Officer of Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Agha Mohammadi, Head of the Domestic Representative Offices of the Ministry, and Amir Hooshang Babamoradi, AFZ’s manager of Tourism, Cultural Heritage and Handicrafts Development.
Zarei stated: the meeting was held to review launch of the Foreign Ministry’s representative office in AFZ and facilitate international trends and investment in this region and several strategic issues were discussed to strengthen AFZ’s position as one of the strategic economic and diplomatic points.
He added: Explaining the AFZ’s performance in attracting foreign investors and emphasizing the need to strengthen this process with support of the diplomatic service, identifying and resolving existing challenges for the investors’ activities, with the aim of creating a safe and efficient environment for international investment, were among the issues that have been discussed.
He emphasized the importance of expanding trade and economic cooperation with the Persian Gulf countries to attract foreign capital, and examined the conditions for creating facilities for changing the visas of workers working in the Persian Gulf countries through AFZ are among the issues that should be considered.
The establishment of international flights from Abadan Airport was among the other issues which Ali Zarei explained: Discussions on the development of airport infrastructure and international flights from Abadan as a key step in strengthening trade and tourism exchanges, examining the problems of the Shalamcheh border, and examining solutions to facilitate the movement of foreign nationals.
The AFZ’s CEO stated: Holding this meeting demonstrates a serious determination to transform the AFZ into an economic and diplomatic hub in country. With the operationalization of the proposed axes, this region can become one of the most important points of Iran’s economic connection with the world.
