The office of “TIR Carnet” of Khuzestan province was opened in Khorramshahr

According to the public relations and international affairs department of Arvand Free Zone Organization, Ali Zarei, CEO of AFZ Organization, in the opening ceremony of the Tir Carnet office of Khuzestan province, which was held in the presence of the secretary general of the Chamber of Iran and the accompanying delegation, the governor of Khuzestan, the adviser of the Republic of Iraq in Iran and other local officials; While appreciating the coherent and purposeful efforts of the management group of Khorramshahr Chamber of Commerce, he said: The Khuzestan province Tir Carnet system was opened with the follow-up and efforts of Khorramshahr Chamber of Commerce in line with the development of trade and economic issues in the region.

He considered this event as a very good opportunity to improve the economic indicators of the region and added: Due to the special capacity of the AFZ, due to its proximity to Iraq and having water and land borders, Tir Carnet can be an important factor in facilitating and developing trade, export and transit of goods.

Zarei called the proximity to Iraq, especially Basra province, as one of the significant advantages of Arvand Free Zone compared to other free zones of the country and said: “We hope that with the launch and implementation of this system, we will witness the economic and commercial prosperity of both Iran and Iraq.”
