AFZ Organization CEO of meets with the Ambassador of Belarus

According to the public relations and international affairs department of Arvand Free Zone (AFZ) Organization, Ali Zarei, the CEO of this Organization, discussed the opportunities for economic cooperation between the two sides in a meeting with Dmitry Koltsov, the Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus to Iran, this morning.

Zarei, explaining this meeting aimed at developing trade relations, highlighted the capacities of AFZ in the fields of commerce, industry, agriculture, tourism, and fisheries. He mentioned that one of the most important topics discussed in this meeting was the establishment of a logistics hub for potassium exports in Arvand, which would facilitate the export of potassium fertilizer from Belarus to countries in the region through AFZ.

He stated that in this meeting, the capabilities of Arvand in the fields of fish and shrimp farming, food processing and packaging industries, fisheries product exports, and tourism potential were highlighted. He said that this initiative could strengthen Arvand’s position as a prominent logistics hub in the Middle East.

The CEO of the Arvand Free Zone Organization, noting the presence of large fish and shrimp farming farms as well as capable traders in the region, introduced Arvand as a reliable supplier for Belarus’s needs in fisheries products and food products. He acknowledged that the issue of twinning AFZ with one of the free zones in Belarus was also discussed in this meeting, receiving a positive response from the Belarusian side.

Additionally, the investment proposal packages prepared by the Economic Department of Arvand Free Zone Organization, along with relevant catalogs, were provided to the Belarusian ambassador and attracted his attention.

Dmitry Kaltsov also thanked Arvand Free Zone Organization for its economic follow-ups and emphasized the history of joint cooperation between Iran and Belarus. He also expressed the interest of Belarusian investors in collaborating with Iranian economic actors in the production of cosmetic and hygiene products.

According to this report, the Belarusian ambassador invited Zarei to accompany the Iranian delegation at the bilateral economic cooperation meeting between Iran and Belarus, considering this meeting an important step toward expanding economic relations between the two countries.

This meeting is considered a turning point in expanding economic cooperation between AFZ and Belarus, creating diverse opportunities for joint investment and strengthening trade relations between the two sides.
