According to the Public Relations and International Affairs Department of Arvand Free Zone Organization, Dr. Shokrollah Salmanzadeh confirmed the successful effect of the antiviral drug on critically ill patients with Covid 19 by the Department of Infectious Diseases of Abadan School of Medical Sciences. The effect of an antiviral drug on critically ill patients with Covid 19 hospitalized in the intensive care unit of Ayatollah Taleghani Hospital in Abadan has shown success in treating these patients and reducing the length of hospital stay.
In this regard, Dr. Sara Mubarak, the educational and research deputy of Abadan School of Medical Sciences and head of the department said: “Since the outbreak of the coronavirus in the country, Khuzestan province and Arvand Free Zone, the research team has decided to use drugs that help to improve the patient’s clinical symptoms more quickly, the coronary heart disease patient may rapidly recover and eventually reduce days in the intensive care unit and hospital.
The Educational and Research deputy at Abadan School of Medical Sciences, pointing out that the drug has had stunning results on 60 patients with coronary artery disease for one month, added: “We hope that this regimen will help to treat and enter national protocols for reducing hospital stay days and ultimately lowering the death rate from coronary heart disease as a big step.
At the end, she stated: “We chose the 2-week period to follow up on patients after receiving this regimen. Fortunately, patients recovered during this period and were discharged from hospital after receiving natural respiration.”
