Attracting NGO participation to resolve social problems in free zones

Director of Culture, Art and Social Affairs of the Secretariat of the Supreme Council for Free and Special Economic Zones said that the development of local and social partnerships in the free zones can address the social and cultural weaknesses in these areas.
According to the Public Relations and International Affairs department of the Arvand Free Zone Organization; Ali Hasanlu at the 18th meeting of the deputies and directors of cultural, social and tourism of Free Zone organizations of the country in Maku Free Zone said: “Non-governmental organizations have the necessary backgrounds for familiarizing people with their duties.” And cultural and social activities can play an effective role in institutionalizing it.
He pointed out that NGOs play a decisive role in the field of culture and social affairs. This role has three distinct features, including “non-profit”, “voluntary” and “non-political”. These features have promoted the activities of NGOs in the field of culture and citizenship ethics at the society level.
He said: “If the free zones are costly in cultural areas, and there is not much benefit and profitability that is because of the lack of utilization of popular capacities and social partnerships.
The 18th meeting of the deputies and directors of cultural, social and tourism of Free zone organizations of the country took place in the Free Zone of Maku.
