“The largest amount of exports in the free zones of the country belongs to Arvand Free Zone, so exports, transit and re-export constitute an important part of the economic cycle of the region,” said the Deputy of Investment and Business Development of Arvand Free Zone Organization.
Public Relations and International Affairs Department of Arvand Free Zone Organization reports, Seyed Ali Mousavi, at a meeting with Indonesia’s ambassador to Iran, Abadan Governor, head of the Abadan Chamber of Commerce and a group of industrial and economic activists in Arvand Free Zone, said: 20% of exports the country is in the free zone of Arvand.
Mousavi, referring to the major role of exports and imports in the Arvand Free Zone said, Export, transit and re-export are an important part of the region’s economic cycle.
The Deputy of Investment and Business Development of Arvand Free Zone Organization said, the region has the largest volume of exports between the free zones of the country. There are also significant activities in the field of tourism and industry.
Mousavi added, the volume of domestic investment in Arvand Free Zone last year amounted to one billion Tomans and the volume of foreign investment in this period was $ 250 million.
He noted, the presence of upstream and downstream industries, gas industry, shipyards and other industrial areas has been able to increase the attractiveness of investment in Arvand Free Zone along with easy registration of companies and reduction of administrative bureaucracy.
Mousavi at the end said, Tax and customs exemptions, full freedom of exit and investment guarantees have created favorable conditions for the presence of investors in Arvand Free Zone.
