20 Strategies of Arvand Free Zone in order to achieve “Production Leap” in the Iranian New Year 1399

According to the Public Relations and International Affairs Department of Arvand Free Zone Organization, referring to naming of the new Iranian year of 1399 by the Supreme Leader as the “Production Leap”, Ismaeil Zamani, Arvand Free Zone Organization CEO, said after holding meetings and presenting expert opinions, we hope to see growth and fulfillment of the “Production Leap” in the region by conveying these 20 strategies to the Deputy of Investment.
The Managing Director of Arvand Free Zone Organization introduced the 20 strategies as follows:
1- Using the ideas and researches of students and youth of the region in innovation and technology center of the region and strengthening and developing the specialized startups of the industry.
2- Paying special attention to the development of knowledge-based industries in the region through planning to increase technology and high-tech companies will be another strategy.
3- Emphasis on activating and developing the empty capacity of production units with an export approach.
4- Comprehensive support for production units to upgrade technology and update machines.
5- Facilitate and expedite the issuance of business, trade and industry licenses by eliminating bureaucracy and restrictive rules.
6- Import management and serious and double fight against smuggling and prevention of unauthorized goods compared to last year.
7- Preventing the sale of raw materials and not granting export licenses to raw materials required by production units.
8- Facilitate and eliminate customs bureaucracy for the import of raw materials, machinery and parts required by the manufacturing and industrial sectors.
9- Close and specialized communication with universities to provide ideas and support the research plan of the industrial sector in order to leap production.
10- Forming a working group to facilitate the production sector of the region with the focus on the chambers of commerce, industry, mines and agriculture of Khorramshahr and Abadan to remove barriers to production and its leap.
11- Establishment of a regional agricultural revival working group to develop the region’s agriculture and fisheries sector as a priority by removing barriers – facilitating licensing – developing and creating greenhouses and raising fish in canals and cages – turkey breeding – camels and honey production, etc.
12- Close cooperation and coordination with the regional investment development company in order to realize the supply chain in production includes (supply of raw materials, supply of machinery-marketing, logistics and export of manufactured goods).
13- Using the capacity of regional, provincial and national consultants and specialists to improve management and reduce the cost price of manufactured goods in order to achieve nominal capacity.
14- Establishing links between production chains and consumer markets with a focus on the private sector, inviting the private sector, including chambers of commerce, industry, mining and agriculture – the Chamber of Trade Unions and export service companies to coordinate marketing and sales and active participation in national and international exhibitions.
15- Identification of production units with a physical progress of over 40% and support and protection for launching in 2020.
16- In addition to the region’s internal resources, serious efforts are being made to receive and use provincial and national technical and credit facilities to provide full support to the region’s production units.
17- Recognition of special customs facilities, services and credits, which can be provided to industrial and production units and their granting, including frequent modification and completion of the list of goods exempt from order registration.
18- Supporting small and home-based industries (home-based businesses) and using domestic and national resources to complete their production and sales chain.
19- Establishment of specialized industry desks in chambers of commerce, industry, mines and agriculture of Abadan and Khorramshahr counties.
20- Determining the assignment of production units that have been acquired by banks and prioritizing their transfer to investors in 2020.
